At Green Apple International School-GAIS, the long-established "management" sense of stewardship has evolved a positive meaning, “careful and responsible management.” All businesses engage in active stewardship. GAIS stewardship has a number of potential benefits. Collectively, it reduces energy, time usages and protects resources of the school properly. For example, using email and mobile devices to reduce paper consumption is a form of stewardship. 

 

We are steward is one of GAIS core values. It does not mean we are stingy. It absolutely indicates that we use our resources accountably in effective and productive ways.  We save water and electricity, not only resources we save, but also human energy and time which we manage very carefully. GAIS is determined to provide a solid educational and emotional foundation to all students so that they are be able to reach their full potentials. We prepare our students to be well-educated, confident, and capable of enhancing their standard of living and leading their own-self, family, society and country. In responding to the standard of school, the GAIS plays a good role model for students to be accountable for using all kinds of resources, energy and time in their daily routines. 

 

GAIS employees are the ones making their vision a reality and making sure we do it efficiently. We are not driving our employees to work harder or more efficiently by forcing employees to work a certain way can breed resentment, even disloyalty, while being too soft can lead to bad habits, laziness or boredom, instead, we apply a stewardship factor which shows integrity in a saving mode, uses each resource in responsible manner and builds trust with the individual members of our team. Before our stewardship approach can be effective, it must be consistent and accountable with transparency.  Our team is comprised of individuals with unique preferences, strengths, flexibilities and ideas of developing GAIS.
