Phnom Penh: Mr. Alain GASCUEL, 85, the founder of the French magazine “Cambodge Nouveau”, who has been living in Cambodia more than 20 years, says he wholeheartedly loves Cambodia and its friendly people. But, he prefers to spend his remaining time in France, joking that: “I am not Khmer at all.”

 

With a deep love of Cambodia, French veteran journalist, Alain GASCUEL has decided to live in the Kingdom for more than 20 years. During his stay, Alain GASCUEL has filed hundreds of thousands of economic stories.

When asked to share his secrets to being healthy, Alain GASCUEL does not hesitate to honestly says, “I don’t know.” Then, he tries to offer some reasons—one of which is his works, which he believes have kept his brain active. But, he also advises not to work too hard, reminding that luck can also be considered as one of the reasons that retains people’s healthiness.

 

Regarding how-to-succeed guide, Alain GASCUEL says he doesn’t have the exact answer, but suggests that everyone especially young people should do what they like. 

“I would say that do what you like to do! Everyone knows that. If you do something, do it well, love it, improve it! It is common sense, no more. Do not only work, but love it,” Alain explains.
