This Parent-Teacher Conference-PTC can help develop a successful partnership between parents and teachers, an important aspect of your child's academic and social achievement. Teachers often introduce parents to their teaching style, discipline methods and classroom through parent orientation and written information.
You can return the favor during a conference by using a few moments to describe your child's after school activities, family relationships or hobbies to help the teachers better understand what makes them tick. Expressing your commitment to your child's education, such as explaining the way you ensure he/she completes homework assignments, helps clarify your intention to continue as an active member of the team. Telling teachers how much you appreciate the notes they send home, their organizational skills or positive attitude with their students lets the teachers know you value their work on the team as well. Teachers and parents can use these moments to establish a rapport and develop a common goal that focuses on helping your children have the best school experience possible.
Green Apple International School-GAIS was also hosting a Star-Student Certificate Awarding celebration at the end of the PTC. In celebration of the academic success of our Kindergarten students during Semester One (Term 1 & 2), the Star-Student Certificate Awarding provided our students with the opportunity to get their appreciation certificates for their achievements in Soft-Skills (Communication, flexibility, leadership, motivation, patience, persuasion, problem solving, teamwork, time management, ethics, drawing, painting, music, etc) Hard Skills (English, Khmer, and Chinese proficiency, mathematics, science, computer, etc) and Other Motivated Activities (Sand play, arts & craft, football, Karate-do, environmental protection, physical education, health education, edutainment, school trip, school fairs etc) and to get their photos taken with school management team, parents, guardians, family and friends through this sweet and meaningful memory with great prides.
We follow national and international Khmer, British, Singaporean curriculums and each class is taught by qualified native English teachers and certified local teachers. With spacious facilities, and air-conditioned rooms, the programs are being run to fit different ages and perspective knowledge of the students. We strongly believe that our students will become independent, caring and responsible global citizens who will be prepared to make a difference not only in Cambodia but also in the world as a whole. We wish you every success with your children’s studies and hope that your kids have a safe and enjoyable time at Green Apple International School-GAIS.
