Adrian Chong
Professional Lecturer of Pearson LCCI English for Business Level 1 (Night Shift)
Adrian was educated in Singapore, England and Universities in Australia in Law, Economics and Theology. With over 12 years’ commercial experience, Adrian brings relevant, real world, practical and effective business communication expertise. Within Cambodia, he has worked in diverse sectors from NGOs to commercial companies in industries ranging from IT to Social Media Marketing and Education.

Adrian is passionate in educating students to think critically above mere subject matter. In understanding the “Why?” students are better motivated to learn the “How?” and “What?”. His fresh and dynamic approach is aimed at engaging students in learning and connecting with purpose. Implicit to his teaching style – initiative, empathy and collaboration are soft skills learnt by students seeking to interact more professionally with colleagues and management. He sees education as much more than successfully passing exams and attaining qualifications. The gaining of wisdom is the success he encourages for all his students.

Prior to joining The Financial Institute of Cambodia, Adrian taught A-Level GCSE and IB subjects, especially Business Studies, at leading International schools in Phnom Penh. In addition to teaching the principles of Accounting, Finance, Marketing and Management, Adrian engaged students to have fun in hypothetical/”What If?” scenarios to strengthen their understanding of these principles. Most recently he was the Director for Admissions at the University of Puthisastra re-engineering the enrolment and scholarship program.

Profile for Andy Ahmed, MA
Professional Lecturer (Weekend Shift)
Andy has been a professional teacher for thirty years including over ten years in Cambodia where he was a professor in the Faculty of Arts, Letters and Humanities at Pannasastra University of Cambodia, and then senior English language consultant to RCAF as well as IELTS Preparation specialist at Springboard. He has been teaching English language and literature at BA and MA level as well as preparing many students to win scholarships to study overseas. He also spent a decade as a principal examiner for Oxford & Cambridge Exam Board in the UK, setting national syllabuses and exam papers.

Andy believes that in this rapidly-changing modern world, much of the knowledge you learn at school and university will be out of date after you commence your career. Therefore, you need to keep updating your education and focus on developing skills such as critical thinking and the ability to self-learn so that you can be flexible and learn how to do new tasks quickly and independently.
